San Celoni: Culture, Landscape and Hiking Trails
Two stages of the GR-5 run through the municipality of Sant Celoni: the tenth stage leads from Montseny to Sant Celoni, and the eleventh stage from Sant Celoni to Sant Martí de Montnegre.
Hiking and landscape
The Ronda Tordera-Pertegàs is a 7,290-metre-long walking route with a stated walking time of 146 minutes.
It connects the entire perimeter of the urban area of Sant Celoni with the Tordera River and crosses the Pont Trencat.
The starting point of the La Vall d'Olzinelles circular route is located in front of the Can Draper farmhouse and can be reached either on foot from the centre of Sant Celoni or by car.
The Fuirosos Valley is considered one of the best-known valleys of Montnegre and begins downstream from the town of La Batllòria.

La Rectoria Vella is a Catalan Gothic civic building arranged around a central courtyard.
Temporary exhibitions are held on the ground floor of this civic building.
The chapel of Sant Martí de Pertegàs stands in the garden area of La Rectoria Vella.
Sant Martí de Pertegàs was the first parish church in the area of Sant Celoni until the present church was built.
The parish church of Sant Martí de Sant Celoni is a good example of Catalan Baroque architecture.
The chapel of Sant Ponç belonged to the former Sant Nicolau leprosarium, which stood outside the town walls.
The gate to the grounds of the Torre de la Força is opened with a key.
This key can be requested from the Oficina de Turisme, Pl. de la Vila 24–26, on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 10:00 to 14:00.
Getting there
The main access routes to Sant Celoni are the AP-7 motorway from Barcelona to La Jonquera via exit 11, and the C-35 road from Granollers to Hostalric at kilometre 55.
Sant Celoni station is one of the most important stations on Rodalies de Catalunya's regional R11 service.
This service connects Barcelona with Cervera de la Marenda and runs via Girona, Figueres and Portbou.
Festa Major
The Festa Major of Sant Celoni groups its activities under the three main themes of Corremonts, an artistic programme and popular culture.
It runs from Wednesday, 2 September, to Monday, 7 September.
