Corduente between Nature and Culture

Corduente is located in Alto Tajo Nature Park on the Gallo River. The El Rodenal del Corduente hiking trail in the same nature park is a 9-kilometre circular hike with a low level of difficulty.

Along its route, the trail connects the Santuario de la Virgen de la Hoz, the Monumento al Forestal, the Corduente swimming pool, and the Alto Tajo Visitor Centre. It passes through pine forests and riverside vegetation in the Gallo River canyon, which is cut into Rodeno conglomerates.

The Barranco de la Hoz consists of reddish sandstone and Rodeno pine forests. Birds of prey can be observed there, including griffon vultures, golden eagles, eagle owls, and little owls. Las Casutillas is a Roman archaeological site with well-preserved mosaics. The Iglesia Parroquial de San Martín is a 17th-century parish church. The Iglesia de San Martín preserves the traditional character of the Lordship of Molina.
