La Busta: Holiday apartment between caves and heritage

Culture and history

Cueva Linar was classified as an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1997 and contains evidence of settlements from the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic. The protected surroundings of the Asset of Cultural Interest Cueva del Linar extend into La Busta and pass through the village.

Cueva de los Avellanos has numerous entrances. One gallery contains engravings of blunt-pointed tools, disconnected lines and the outline of an animal; burial remains from the Chalcolithic period were also found there.

The parish church of San Miguel preserves a small altarpiece in the Classicist style and appears to date from the 10th century. The Ermita Santa Eulalia is located in the centre of La Busta. It has a Baroque altarpiece with unpolychromed Solomonic columns. San Migueluco is celebrated in La Busta on 8 May.
