Callao Salvaje reveals its coastal side at Playa de Ajabo. The significant beach has dark sand and is classified as a semi-urban beach. Playa de Ajabo also features landscaped surroundings made of volcanic rock, as well as nearby areas for resting and leisure activities.
Coast
Playa de Ajabo has parasols, sun loungers, showers, a kiosk, toilets and changing rooms. There are also paths, pedestrian access points, stairs and ramps. There are strong sea currents at Playa de Ajabo.
For planning your day, time at the beach and exercise along the sea can be considered separately. The existing resting and leisure areas also form part of this diverse picture of Playa de Ajabo.
Activities
A sporting complement to the coast is Golf Callao Salvaje. This is a golf course classified by the RFEG as a federated pitch-and-putt course and approved for competitions.
For water-based experiences, Paradise Divers is located at the Hotel Tropical Park in Callao Salvaje. Paradise Divers offers guided dives, snorkelling, Bubblemaker, try dives and boat charters.
Paradise Divers bears the designation „PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre“. Paradise Divers is also authorised by the Government of the Canary Islands as a training centre.
The different types of activity here range from a federated pitch-and-putt course through several diving and snorkelling formats to boat charters. For your planning, you can weigh these focuses separately without combining them into a single excursion programme.
The various offers can be considered separately when planning your day. A sporting focus, water, coast and culture stand alongside one another as distinct themes. You do not have to turn them into a fixed excursion programme; instead, you can set the emphasis according to your own interests. The individual focuses remain comparable without becoming a shared activity or a prescribed itinerary. This open approach preserves the independence of the themes and leaves room for different daily rhythms.
Culture
The Centro Cultural de Callao Salvaje has an auditorium and a study room. Alongside the coast and activities, this means that a cultural venue with its own indoor spaces is also part of the picture of Callao Salvaje.
A holiday apartment in Callao Salvaje can be assessed with regard to travel dates, room category and cancellation conditions. For travel planning purposes, the coast and water, golf, culture, and the coastal route to La Caleta stand alongside one another as distinct themes at this location.
Other destinations: Fañabé, La Caldera, Las Moraditas, Los Menores, Ricasa, Puertito, La Concepción, Tijoco Bajo
Hiking
The Costa de Adeje route (Callao Salvaje–La Caleta) runs mostly along a coastal path through a protected landscape. The route provides another focus on the coast, this time in the form of a connection between Callao Salvaje and La Caleta.
Its distinctive feature lies in connecting a named starting point and destination with a coastal path and a protected landscape. The route therefore forms a separate thematic section alongside time at Playa de Ajabo and the golf and water-sports activities.
