Buzanada: Volcanic Landscape, Rock Engravings and Canarian Festivities

A particularly distinctive feature of Buzanada is Roque de La Abejera. The basalt outcrop of Series I was shaped by erosion into an inselberg-like hill formation.

The Volcanes de Buzanada are a named group of volcanoes at the settlement centre of Buzanada, which also includes Roque de las Abejeras.

Around Buzanada lies a volcanic field with lava flows from Series III and IV. These lava flows preserve original volcanic forms, including malpaís landscapes and volcanic cones.

Tabaibal-Cardonal vegetation and rock communities with endemic plant species grow on Roque de La Abejera.
