Culture and History
The historic centre of Guía de Isora was designated a Bien de Interés Cultural site in 2009. It features 18th-century rural residential architecture alongside 19th-century civil and religious buildings. A walking tour leads through irregularly laid-out streets and past traditional water points and washing areas.
The Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Luz was the first religious building erected in Guía de Isora in the 16th century. The church contains altarpieces, sculptures, paintings, numerous goldsmith's works and an embroidered mantle from the 18th century. It also displays the images of Nuestra Señora de la Luz and Cristo de la Dulce Muerte.
The Manuel Martín González exhibition is located in the cultural administration building in the historic centre of Guía de Isora. It comprises two rooms: the first displays advertising art he created during his stay in Cuba from 1923 to 1932, while the second presents a selection of his landscape paintings.
The Grabados de Aripe near Aripe are the first dated example of rock art in Tenerife.
Traditions and Flavours
The Día de las Tradiciones in Chirche takes place annually on the second weekend of July; Chirche is located within the municipality of Guía de Isora. In one edition, residents' homes, as well as the square and the sociocultural centre, served as settings for demonstrations of crafts and activities from that period. Rural scenes from the mid-20th century are recreated, including fieldwork, washing clothes, charcoal making and traditional bread baking.
La quema de Lucas is a tradition in Guía de Isora that began in 1794. Every year on San Juan, an effigy is burned; today, the tradition is accompanied by competitions, dances and fancy dress.
The Pascua Florida takes place during Holy Week in Guía de Isora and combines artistic creation with tradition.
Dulcería Isora in the historic centre of Guía de Isora began operating in 1905. Confectionery is still made there using traditional methods and recipes. Traditional sweets from Guía de Isora include Rosquetes, Huesitos, Tortas de almendras and Truchas.

The PR-TF 70 is closed to through traffic. As a linear, 17.5-kilometre hiking trail, it runs from Guía de Isora to Boca Tauce; 6.5 kilometres are listed as open. The Parque Natural de la Corona Forestal and Parque Nacional del Teide are listed as protected areas along the PR-TF 70.

The Guía de Isora Tourist Information Office is located opposite the Centro Cultural at Avenida Isora, s/n, 38680. It is temporarily closed.
