Past

The site contains fossil bones and eggs of Cory's shearwaters (Calonectris diomedea Cory). It also contains fossil nests of mining bees and remains of land snails from the Helicidae family. The sediment of the Guinate paleontological site dates from the last interglacial, the beginning of the Upper Pleistocene, that is, from approximately 135,000 years ago.
