The former Puig Moreno railway station belonged to the former Val de Zafán railway line; trains ran on the first 32 km section from 1895 onwards.

Festivals

San Miguel is the patron saint of Puigmoreno; his feast day is 29 September. Puigmoreno’s local patron saint festivities take place on the last weekend in June.

During the celebration of San Isidro, a procession passes through the town and stops at the Monumento al Colono for a floral offering in honour of all the colonists. The celebration of San Miguel includes a mass followed by a communal meal with previously blessed bread. The patron saint festivities also include a “gaseosada” in the Plaza and a paella competition in the park.
