Trails

The marked Šegova Trail begins in the hamlet of Matevljek and leads along field and forest paths to Votla stena. The trail can be continued in the direction of Petelinjek. Via Pogorišča, Mašun, Jelenji vrh and the Retijska uvala, it can end as a circular route in Hrib. The named trail sections thus connect the starting point of Matevljek with several landscape features and the possible completion of the circular route in Hrib.

Traditions

In Retje in Loški Potok, housewives prepare a Christmas bread called župnek on 24 December. It is decorated with a figure of Jesus; some also place Joseph, Mary and as many doves on it as there are children living in the household.
