The chapels of the Way of the Cross at the Church of the Holy Cross were built between 1877 and 1881. The route to Gradiška Tura is considered the most demanding and exciting climbing route in the Vipava Valley. The rock walls of Gradiška Tura also contain a free-climbing area with 196 climbing routes.

The Tura Sports and Recreation Centre offers two artificial-turf tennis courts, a four-lane bocce court, a beach volleyball court, a basketball court, a handball court, a small-sided football pitch and children’s playgrounds. An artificial climbing wall measuring 10 × 5 m is available there for learning and training.

Wine and cuisine

The Poljšak family winery in Gradišče pri Vipavi has been growing grapevines for more than two centuries. Vina Poljšak offers guided wine tastings for individuals and groups of up to 30 people. These include a cellar tour and, on request, a guided tour of the vineyards.

Osmica Ferjančič takes place twice a year, usually in November around St Martin’s Day and in spring in April or May.
