History

Feszty Árpád used a small farmhouse in the marshlands of Kingyes as a retreat from the bustle of the capital and created numerous paintings there, including some of the preliminary sketches for the panorama “The Arrival of the Hungarians.” The former Feszty House is located in Kingyes beside a small lake.

In 2014, the former Feszty farmstead in Kingyes no longer existed. In 2014, the surviving building of the Feszty studio was gradually falling into disrepair.
