The trails are not limited to a single route. A 38.5 km cycling loop leads from Kremnica via Kremnické Bane, Kunešov, Slaská, Kopernica and Lúčky back to Kremnica; it involves 618 metres of elevation gain. Another cycling loop leads from Kremnica via Kopernica and Kunešov back to Kremnica.

Culture and history

Kunešov was first mentioned in writing under the name villa Sankt Michaelis. Kunešov is a settlement originally founded by Germans; in 1912, a state lace-making school was established there. These historical references stand alongside a sacred architectural history spanning several periods.

The Church of the Archangel Michael is an originally Gothic single-nave building dating from around 1400 and was remodelled in the Baroque style in 1766. It is listed as a national cultural monument in the Central Register of the Heritage Fund of Slovakia under number 1244/0. A memorial plaque in the Church of the Archangel Michael in Kunešov names 63 residents of Kunešov who were shot at Magurka during the Second World War.

Other sacred buildings complement the villagescape: a late Classicist wayside chapel from the second half of the 19th century stands on the southern edge of Kunešov. Before Kunešov, a small square chapel stands at the entrance to Kremnické Bane.
