Zlagna was first documented in 1503. A prominent point of reference in the village’s history is the Orthodox parish church. It bears the name “Sfinții Arhangheli Mihail și Gavriil” and was built between 1906 and 1907. The parish church in Zlagna is 18 m long and 8 m wide. Muntele Mic is also home to a hermitage at an altitude of 1,550 m. It is built from hewn fir logs and was completed in October 1939.
