Discover Franzdorf: Vila Klaus, nature trails and Lacul Văliug
History
In the forest of the Bârzava Valley, Vila Klaus, its outbuildings and a leisure park featuring Austrian architectural influences were built in 1808. Vila Klaus served as a school for the future King Mihai. The complex thus combines Vila Klaus with its outbuildings and the leisure park in the forest of the Bârzava Valley.
In Văliug, the Roman Catholic church is designated as a historic monument. It was founded in 1861, and Saint Francis of Assisi is its patron saint. The church building was completed in 1861 in the Neo-Gothic style, using concrete, stone and unfired bricks.
Anyone wishing to stay overnight in Franzdorf can search for a holiday apartment in Franzdorf and prepare their stay there; the choice of accommodation remains entirely dependent on their personal travel plans, the desired scope of the trip and their own preferences.
