The Elbe Cycle Route runs through Diera-Zehren between Meißen and Riesa. The Niederlommatzsch–Diesbar-Seußlitz ferry provides a way to cross the Elbe.

Galgenberg, Eichberg, Eckardsberg, and Tronitzberg are located near Diera-Zehren. Schloss Heynitz and Meißen Frauenkirche are located in the surrounding area of Diera-Zehren. The wider regional area is home to the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister and Zwinger Palace.

The park in Hebelei is located along the Elbe Cycle Route and includes around 100 animals, enclosures for approximately 20 species, a biotope pond, a playground, and a petting zoo.

Culture and History

St. Michaelis Church in Zehren is a late Baroque church that was completed in 1787. A chapel is already documented at this site for the year 1316; the present church interior is simple and bright.

Schloss Schieritz rises approximately 40 metres above the Ketzerbach Valley and was the origin of the village of Schieritz. The castle was built between 1556 and 1601.
