The Trail of the Lively Streams in Densborn is a moderately difficult 8.2-kilometre circular hike with 168 metres of elevation gain and loss. It follows the Schlierbach, Ansbach and Treisbach streams and passes through the Kyll Valley and the tranquil Eifel forests near Densborn. Along the way, riverside sections, dense woodland and natural paths alternate. The trail includes small viewpoints in the Kyll Valley and places to rest, including a panoramic lounger.
Densborn has approximately 80 kilometres of hiking trails through its forests; the Kyll Valley Cycle Route supports cycling activities. The Children’s Cycle Route includes almost entirely level sections of the Kyll and Maare-Moselle cycle routes between Densborn and Bewingen. Culture and History
The Trail of the Historic Crosses is accompanied by several preserved plague crosses, erected as symbols of faith, hope and remembrance. The RB22 runs hourly from Densborn railway station along the Eifel railway line between Cologne and Trier.
