Near Birresborn are the Birresborn Ice Caves. They are former basalt millstone quarries that were later used as natural cooling rooms. As they serve as a winter refuge for bats, they are only accessible to visitors from April to October.

The moderately difficult, 13.3-kilometre Bertrada Tour connects Birresborn with the ice and millstone caves, Adam and Eve, and Mürlenbach's Bertrada Castle, before returning to Birresborn.
