Waldrach is crossed directly by the Ruwer-Hochwald Cycle Path. The route is part of an approximately 48-kilometre-long trail from Trier through the Ruwer Valley to Hermeskeil and largely follows a former railway line. The average gradient is around 1 per cent; a seasonal bicycle bus provides support along the route.

Waldrach preserves Roman water-supply heritage: a 13.4-kilometre underground water pipeline to Trier began here. Waldrach’s visitor landscape combines Riesling vineyards, municipal mixed forest and local circular trails. There is also a viewpoint on the Naumeter Kupp with views across the town.
