Culture

The restored Sainte Foy Chapel, dating from the 15th century, stands 7 kilometres from Méthamis on the D5 towards Saint-Jean de Sault. It has a distinctive stone bell tower and a functioning bell. Every year on Whit Monday, the chapel is celebrated with a Provençal mass and a picnic.

The Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul is documented as early as the beginning of the 12th century. In 1997, the church was listed as a historic monument.

The Mur de la Peste was built in 1720 as a sanitary cordon to protect the Comtat Venaissin from the outbreak of plague in Marseille. The structure is a 27-kilometre-long, 2-metre-high and 60-centimetre-wide dry-stone wall in the Monts du Vaucluse.

Nature

The Falaise des Devens is part of the geological complex of the Gorges de la Nesque, a Natura 2000 site designated for its exceptional flora and fauna. The Falaise des Devens is 150 metres long and 25 to 30 metres high. The Site d'escalade de la falaise des Devens climbing area is located in Méthamis and is freely accessible.
