The Carmentran de Murs is a traditional festival held annually, usually in March, featuring a costumed musical parade and the judgment of King Carmentran.

Location and Landscape
Murs is located in the northern part of the Parc naturel régional du Luberon, at an altitude of 500 metres in the Monts de Vaucluse. The Chêne de Murs has a circumference of 6.80 metres and is 24 metres high. Bus route 109 runs from Apt to the Mairie de Murs by prior reservation.
Culture and History
The Maison natale de Crillon le Brave is a Renaissance extension of the Château de Murs, where Louis des Balbes de Berton de Crillon, known as “le brave Crillon”, was born in 1541. Today, the building houses Murs’ small village library.
The Église Saint-Loup was built in the late 12th century in the Romanesque style and served both as a seigneurial chapel and as a church. The Château de Murs was built in several phases between the 12th and 18th centuries.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame has an asymmetrical floor plan and an attached building. The chapel’s red plaster is associated with its proximity to the ochre quarries of Roussillon. Some sections of a stone wall built as a sanitary cordon against the plague are still visible today.
Nature
The “Amonts des gorges de Véroncle” route is associated with a remarkable natural site, distinctive hydraulic remains and rural cultural heritage.
