When staying in Lapalud, the desire to rent a holiday apartment is part of personal travel planning.

Culture and history

The Church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens combines Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. It was built between the 12th and 15th centuries. In the 14th century, Lapalud was surrounded by a belt of walls that gradually developed into broad, powerful fortifications.

The Grand Rue crosses the old village of Lapalud and is open at both ends through two fortified gates. The Porte Jullien can be seen in the old village of Lapalud. The intercommunal library is located in the Espace Julian, within Château Julian.

The production of the brooms made in Lapalud has existed since 1920; sorghum straw is used for this purpose. The ViaRhôna stage from Viviers and Bourg-Saint-Andéol to Lapalud also has a strong focus on cultural heritage.

Lapalud's weekly market takes place on Tuesdays.
