Nature

The Forêt de Beynaves is classified as an Espace Naturel Sensible; its ecological importance is recognised through its ZNIEFF designation. The GR 946, which connects Serres with Sisteron, runs through the forest.

From Beynaves, a path just under 1.5 km long leads to the ridge of Chabre. From there, the panorama extends from Mont Ventoux to the Écrins. Le Pas de Sainte-Colombe is a relatively easy hike that provides quick access to the ridge of Chabre and offers views of the Céans Valley and the village of Sainte-Colombe.

Trails

Sainte-Colombe is the starting point for hikes on foot and by mountain bike. The Sentier forestier de la Pineraie (No. 23) is accessible to wheelchair users and pushchairs. It is a 1,700 m-long educational circular trail in the Forêt de Beynaves, where visitors can discover a protected natural area.

Culture

The Cadran solaire de Sainte-Colombe sundial on the façade of the church bears the Occitan inscription “L'ora e la pes Santa Couroumba te baila” (“May Sainte-Colombe grant you time and peace”).

The Route des Princes d’Orange passes through the hamlet of Bégües in the municipality of Sainte-Colombe. This 107 km-long tourist route connects Orange and Orpierre through the landscapes of Vaucluse, Drôme and Hautes-Alpes.
