Lac de Siguret is located within the municipality of Saint-André-d'Embrun and is classified as a Sensitive Natural Area. The wet meadows around the lake are home to more than 350 plant species, including protected species.
Mont Orel is a mountain in the vicinity of Saint-André-d'Embrun. The surrounding area is also home to the peaks of Pic du Clocher, Pic St-André and Le Méale.
Activities
Saint-André-d'Embrun has the Traverses de Saint-André cycling circuit. The Forêt de Saluces can be explored on foot or by mountain bike. Fishing and hiking are possible at Lac de Siguret.
Culture
The present-day building of the Église Saint-André was inaugurated in 1866 after five years of construction. The stained-glass windows of the Église Saint-André were created by the Lyon-based glass artist Eugène Chausse, with the exception of the newer window depicting Saint Joseph.
The Château de Picomtal is a castle in the vicinity of Saint-André-d'Embrun. The same area is also home to Fort de Mont-Dauphin, a fortress, and Saint-Michel, a church. Cathédrale Notre-Dame-du-Réal, a church, is located nearby.
