Nature

The Sources de l’Ernée comprise an extensive mosaic of marshes, wet meadows and wooded areas with remarkable floral diversity. The area, designated as a sensitive natural area, is located in the municipalities of Lévaré and Carelles. The wet meadows of the Sources de l’Ernée serve as a breeding ground for a very rare wading bird. They also serve as a breeding ground for a dragonfly that is rare in Mayenne.

Anyone considering Carelles as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
