Culture and History

The Robert-Glétron family funerary chapel in Vaiges was listed as a historic monument by decree of 11 March 2026. Its architecture is inspired by an ancient temple.

The Manoir d’Aubigné (ancien) has also been listed as a historic monument since 19 December 1985. Its main construction phase dates back to 1521.

The Robert-Glétron collection in Vaiges dates back to Marie Robert, née Glétron, bequeathing most of her possessions to the municipality in 1929. The former furnishings have been preserved in the west wing of the Robert-Glétron house; part of the bequeathed furniture and works of art is located there.

The Église Saint-Laurent has a tower and a nave dating from the 11th century. The nave contains wall paintings from the mid-12th century. The Romanesque portal comes from the former cemetery chapel in Villaines-la-Juhel.

The PR® circular trail “Circuit de Vaiges et Saint-Georges-le-Fléchard” is 9.5 km long. The townscape also includes the Lavoir du Crau, a washhouse with an impluvium and two basins, associated with the years 1845 and 1926.

The picnic area by the pond in Vaiges offers picnic tables, public toilets, parking spaces and a pétanque court.
