The Circuit de l'Aron is an 18-kilometre circular route starting from Bais for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking. The trail runs along the bocage paths of Bais and offers panoramas over the Coëvrons. The route can be shortened via variant V1; it can be extended by combining it with the Circuit de la Vaudelle or the Boucle multi-randonnée N°04.

Nature and Trails
Bais is located in a rural livestock-farming region characterised by a still clearly recognisable bocage landscape, with fields divided by hedgerows. Another route leads over Montaigu and through the Bois du Rochard and the Bois d'Izé. Montaigu is home to a remarkable viewpoint over the region.
Water and Leisure
Domaine Carp’Eden is a private, 5,000 m² sport-fishing pond on the Bras d’Or in Bais. After reservation, family-friendly introductory fishing afternoons are offered there, with equipment provided and guidance from a guide. The local leisure facilities also include Bais's intercommunal swimming pool, a heated outdoor pool with a sunbathing lawn, paddling pool and a large slide.
Culture and History
Château de Montesson stands at the exit of Bais on the road to Hambers and is visible from the road. It was built in stages from the 14th to the 17th century and is surrounded by moats. The entrance pavilion has a curved roof on all four sides, a granite façade bearing the coat of arms of the de Montesson family, and a round tower with an onion-shaped slate roof.
In the Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Bais, the frescoes depict scenes from the Passion of Christ as well as from his childhood and public ministry. The church can be visited free of charge or, upon request, with a guided tour.
