Saint-Quentin-Les-Anges: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
In the Église paroissiale Saint-Quentin, four scenes in the side lancets show how Saint Quentin receives his mission, preaches in Amiens, suffers martyrdom in 303, and how his head and body are discovered in the Somme 55 years later.
The church’s axial stained-glass window depicts the life of Saint Quentin and was created in 1897 by the stained-glass artist Auguste Alleaume. The western window consists mainly of geometric stained glass with rectangular motifs.
The hamlet of Les Anges originated with a Cordeliers monastery under the patronage of Notre-Dame des Anges, founded at the end of the 15th century by Pierre de Rohan, Marshal of Gié. The Château de Mortiecrolles was built at the end of the 15th century by Pierre de Rohan, Marshal of Gié. The fortified château from this period is listed as a historic monument. Its characteristic features include the surrounding walls clad in brick and tuff, the entrance gate, and the chapel.
