The Eglise Saint-Martin was rebuilt between 1856 and 1869. Its interior furnishings from the second half of the 19th century have been completely preserved. Since 9 November 2000, the Eglise Saint-Martin has been listed as a historic monument.

The Manoir de Favry features a large residential building dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. The manor includes four well-maintained gardens with centuries-old trees.

The circular route “Circuit de la Croix de Pierre à Ballée et Préaux” highlights the 3-metre-high Croix des Chouans monument. It was erected in the 19th century and bears a medieval cross.

Wine

Maison du Pin organically cultivates 2.2 hectares with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pineau d’Aunis, Syrah and Chenin.

Maison du Pin is a pioneering winery in Mayenne and is home to one of the department’s few vineyards.

A tour of Maison du Pin includes a visit to the historic fortified farm complex, the rebuilt manor house, the vineyards and the wine cellar, and ends with a wine tasting.

Landscape

The circular route “Circuit de la Croix de Pierre à Ballée et Préaux” is 12 kilometres long and takes approximately three hours. It leads through the landscapes and countryside of Mayenne.

The Abbaye de Belle-Branche Saint-Brice monastery is located in the immediate vicinity of Préaux. In the wider region around Préaux are the Abbaye de Solesmes monastery and the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Port du Salut monastery. The historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de l'épine d'Évron is also located in the wider region around Préaux.
