Culture
The church of Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire was partly built in the 11th century, enlarged in the 16th century and repaired in 1733. Its bell tower preserves a tier with three Romanesque arcades on each side; the church also houses a limestone sarcophagus from the 12th century. In the centre of the village, opposite the church, there is a gateway with a dovecote.
The Château de Lavauguyon is a medieval complex in the village of Lavauguyon within Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire. Workshops on stoneworking, community work sessions and activities are offered at the château.
Local traditions
The honey production of Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire is celebrated every year at the Fête du miel on the third weekend of September.

The Sentier mellifère is a developed trail around 2.5 kilometres long around the village centre, with nectar-rich plants, trees and shrubs. The Grande Boucle du Parc reaches the centre of Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire and passes through the village centre. The Circuit du moulin de l'Age alternates between forests, meadows and riverside paths, offering views of Périgord and Charente.
