Nature
The Lande de la Judie in Champsac covers more than 6 hectares and is one of the seven sites of the regional nature reserve “landes atlantiques du PNR Périgord Limousin”. It consists predominantly of Atlantic wet heathland with bell heather (Bruyère ciliée) and dwarf gorse (Ajonc nain); the bell heather reaches the limit of its distribution there.
The Chemin des sources is a very easy, 30-minute route for hiking or mountain biking. At the same time, it is a 1.9 km circular trail starting in Champsac, which leads through the Limousin bocage on a short excursion.
Paths and Routes
The Sentier des puits is a 23 km hike through the Limousin chestnut landscape. Variants of 16 km and 18 km are available to shorten the route.
The 13 km Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire connects Châlus and Oradour-sur-Vayres and passes through Champsac. It follows a section of the former Saillat-sur-Vienne–Bussière-Galant railway line and is reserved for non-motorised transport.

Culture and History
The Eglise de la Décollation de Saint Jean Baptiste de Champsac was built in the 12th century, restored between 1628 and 1646, and received a wooden bell tower in 1850. It has stained-glass windows from 1978 by Odette Lejeune, who used the pseudonym Vivian Oël.
The Chapelle Saint-Roch was built in 1432 in honour of Saint Roch. Its origins go back to the vow of a notable woman from La Courrière, who asked for the saint’s protection during an illness that was decimating the livestock of the entire area. To access the Chapelle Saint-Roch, the key can be collected from the mairie; an identity document must be left as a deposit.
