History and culture

The Château de Leychoisier is a historic monument in the valley. The oldest tower of the Château de Leychoisier is believed to date from the 9th century. The former monasteries in the town centre and in Drouille Noire belonged to the Benedictines. Chapels were added to the church in the 15th century.

Cycling and trails

The Circuit des Vallées is 13 km long and takes around 3 hours on foot or 1 hour by mountain bike. Bonnac-la-Côte has certified Nordic walking routes for various levels of difficulty.

The Vélodrome Raymond Poulidor has a 250 m concrete track and, since 2019, an inflatable roof that allows it to be used all year round. The Tèrra-Aventura route “Les cyclistes ont la côte!” is a 14 km cycling route that starts at the Vélodrome Raymond Poulidor.

Water and fishing

Fishing and relaxation in green surroundings are possible at Étang de Mortemare. The Carpodrome de Tracheras is a fishing lake open all year round. Fishing there is carried out entirely according to the catch-and-release principle.

Access to the Carpodrome de Tracheras is reserved for holders of a fishing permit with the “Carpodrome – Tracheras” or “Parcours spécialisés” option.
