Saint-Valéry was a 5th-century hermit who established his hermitage on Mont Bernage, also known as the Puy des Trois Cornes. The Saint-Valéry spring is considered miraculous; it is believed to relieve ailments and restore strength to small children.
The chapel currently visible at the site of the Puy des Trois Cornes was rebuilt in the 17th century; its small bell tower is covered with chestnut shingles.
The Chapelle Saint-Michel now serves as an exhibition space and a small event hall with a maximum capacity of 49 people.
8 July is associated with a mass and a pilgrimage to the place where the saint is said to have lived at the Saint-Valéry site.
