The Musée de Maisons-Alfort has been housed in the Château de Réghat since September 2003. The Château de Réghat is an 18th-century building and is one of the oldest in the town of Maisons-Alfort. The museum also includes a crypt dedicated to the archaeological remains found in Maisons-Alfort.

Sainte-Agnès is a modernist church associated with the “Chantiers du Cardinal” movement. Its nave is inclined 30 degrees relative to the main façade. The Sainte-Agnès church has been classified as a historic monument since 21 December 1984. The Fort de Charenton also bears witness to the history of the area: it was the first of around 16 forts built around Paris in the 19th century. The École nationale vétérinaire d’Alfort is the oldest Grande École in the world that is still located at its original site.

The signposted PR42 circular walking route starts at Maisons-Alfort–Alfortville station and passes through all seven districts of Maisons-Alfort. It includes 32 points of interest for exploring the town’s architectural and natural heritage. For exercise in another form, the Parc La Fontaine has a free skate park suitable for skateboarding, inline skating, scootering and BMX.

The Promenade Paul Cézanne runs along the river for more than 4 kilometres and is used by walkers and joggers. The banks of the Marne at the Pont de Charenton form a valuable ecosystem for local flora and fauna. Overall, Maisons-Alfort has 75 hectares of publicly accessible green spaces connected by a network of green footpaths.

The Maison de l’Environnement offers exhibitions, workshops and events on ecological awareness and biodiversity throughout the year. It is located in a converted former petrol station on the banks of the Marne.
