Le Perreux-Sur-Marne: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Le Perreux-sur-Marne combines the Marne’s riverside landscape with natural areas and remarkable architecture. Culture

The Centre des bords de Marne offers an artistic programme covering dance, theatre and music, and welcomes artists in residence every year. The Médiathèque also offers free events open to the public, including storytelling sessions, performances, conferences, computer courses, digital activities, games and workshops. Since 2009, the Notes d’Automne festival has also taken place every year as a musical and literary event.

A distinctive structure on the Marne is the Passerelle de Bry. It spans the river and connects Le Perreux-sur-Marne with neighbouring Bry-sur-Marne. It was built by Gustave Eiffel and opened to traffic in 1894. The Romanesque Church of Saint Jean-Baptiste was the first place of worship built in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, in 1890.

Riverside and Green Spaces

The Parc des Cités Unies contains 47 trees, 26 benches and Ludoparc play areas. The Parc du Saut du Loup covers 13,000 square metres, including 7,000 square metres of lawn. Its facilities include a Ludoparc, a multisports court, a pétanque court and a bandstand.

The Jardin du quai de l'Artois features lawns, picnic tables, a solarium, children’s play equipment and sports equipment for adults. The Jardin-Terrasse de la Médiathèque is accessible during the Médiathèque’s opening hours and is intended for reading, outdoor games and other activities.

Two ecological beaches and a wetland have been created near the Passerelle de Bry and the Pont de Bry to support the natural vegetation along the riverbanks. The Mail des Droits de l’Homme features a sensory garden and the municipality’s first inclusive playground.

Activities

Along the Marne in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, the GR14A long-distance hiking trail, a variant of the GR1A, runs from the south of the town to the Passerelle de Bry. On Sundays from mid-May to mid-September, some streets are closed to traffic, allowing visitors to walk and cycle there freely.

The Société Nautique du Perreux offers rowing all year round and welcomes participants aged 10 and over. The club organises rowing outings at weekends or during school holidays.

Getting There

From Paris, visitors can take RER E to Nogent–Le Perreux station, which is located directly on the outskirts of Le Perreux-sur-Marne.
