Le Kremlin-Bicêtre showcases its cultural side at the Espace culturel André-Malraux (ECAM), a multidisciplinary theatre hosting performances, concerts and exhibitions. The ECAM regularly offers meetings and discussions between artists and audiences, workshops and participatory art projects.

Those who choose Le Kremlin-Bicêtre for their stay may want to rent a holiday apartment.

Culture and history

The Ancien hospice de Bicêtre is partly classified as a historic monument and partly registered as a historic monument; it is therefore partially protected as a heritage site. Before being used as a hospital, the site of Hôpital Bicêtre successively housed a castle called Bicêtre, a prison and a hospice.

Fort du Kremlin-Bicêtre forms part of the first ring of Paris fortifications, built in 1840. The casemates and the entrance with its drawbridge can only be visited during the European Heritage Days.

The Musée de l’Assistance publique–Hôpitaux de Paris currently holds around 13,000 works and objects illustrating hospital life from the Middle Ages to the present day. The Médiathèque l’Écho is open to everyone and offers opportunities for finding information, deepening one’s knowledge and working quietly.

Parks and public spaces

Parc Philippe Pinel is located in the town centre in a historic setting, offers a view of Hôpital Bicêtre and serves as a place for relaxation. The park has children’s play areas, lawns, ball-game courts and a boules court. The City-Stade in Parc Philippe Pinel is freely accessible to residents of Le Kremlin-Bicêtre and offers facilities for football, basketball, volleyball, handball and badminton.

Parc de Bicêtre covers 11,500 m² and is open every day. Its facilities include a 200 m² children’s playground themed around the five senses, a large stage with 150 seats for performances and events, and a fitness trail.

Sports and events

Piscine Camille Muffat is open to all members of the public and has a 50-metre Olympic pool with a depth of 0.80 to 4.50 metres, a paddling pool with a depth of 30 to 40 centimetres and a large glass roof. Aquagym, fitness and aquabike sessions are offered there under the supervision of sports instructors.

Les Estivales returns from 21 June to 7 September with a varied programme of free activities for children and adults.
