Saint-Germain-sur-École is home to the Église Saint-Germain d’Auxerre. It dates back to a very old foundation and is dedicated to Saint Germain of Auxerre. Its choir dates from the 13th century; the church also has an 18th-century altarpiece.
The Château de Fortoiseau, a château, is located in the vicinity of Saint-Germain-sur-École. The Prieuré de Sainte-Assise, a historic site, is also nearby. The Cyclop is a monument there, while the ruins of the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Lys are also located in the vicinity.
A Mass is scheduled at the Église Saint-Germain d’Auxerre at 6 p.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month.
