The challenging mountain bike route “Le Tour de Château-Chalon à VTT – 5R” begins and ends in Voiteur. The Fruitière Vinicole de Voiteur was founded at the end of the 1950s and brings together around 60 winegrowers with a total area of 70 hectares. In its cellar at the foot of Château-Chalon, visitors can discover and taste the Fruitière’s wines. The range includes tastings and retail sales of Jura wines, including AOC Château-Chalon, AOC Côtes du Jura, AOC L’Etoile, Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille.

It is accessible to electrically assisted mountain bikes. The “Ravaillac – 7R” route passes the vineyards of Lavigny and Le Vernois and offers distant views of the plains of the Bresse Jurassienne.

Culture and history

The historic site of Abbaye Saint-Pierre de Baume-les-Messieurs is located near Voiteur. Further afield in the region are the Maison de Louis Pasteur museum and the historic sites of Abbaye de Balerne and Abbaye de Rosières.
