The remains of a feudal castle destroyed in 1354 are located on the Montagne de la Roche. The hill also includes three prehistoric sites of national renown. Visitors can observe numerous species of birds of prey there.

Those choosing Saint-Julien as a destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.

Nature

North of the Saint-Julien cemetery are dry grasslands. These are plant communities that thrive on calcareous soils, with upright brome and Léman fescue.

Activities

The “Le tour de la montagne de la Roche” hike provides access to the summit of the hill and, in suitable weather conditions, offers views of the Vosges, the Jura and even the Alps.

The Jules Rimet cycle loop no. 20 leads to La Roche-Morey, as far as the foot of the Montagne de la Roche. From there, the summit can be reached by bicycle; however, this requires vigorous pedalling.

The Terrain Endurance Tout Terrain is approved for motocross, enduro and quad biking and is open to anyone who is appropriately equipped and insured.

The Ecole Club Ball Trap offers introductory clay pigeon shooting sessions.
