Within the Espace Naturel Sensible de la Baume, the Bois du Vernois in the area of Valentigney forms the upper part of the protected area. A circular trail offers views over the Doubs Valley. Culture

The industrial history includes the Cité ouvrière Peugeot dite cité des Longines. It was built between 1907 and 1909 to house employees of Peugeot Frères et Cie. The cité is a planned workers’ residential district with private gardens and communal areas. Its layout follows an axis along Avenue Bataille and includes an elliptical square and a circular square.

The Musée de la Paysannerie et des Vieux Métiers is housed in an authentic 1766 farmhouse, with a fully furnished living area, barn, stable and cart shed. In the Chapelle Notre-Dame-sous-Roches, the painter Chavignier created a Way of the Cross with 14 stations.

The Maison des Contes en Est offers a programme on storytelling, oral literature and the art of storytelling in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. It supports invited storytellers through creative residencies and, where necessary, with development assistance. It also offers initial and continuing training in the art of storytelling, oral literature and related areas such as voice, body and movement.

In 2016, Valentigney created the BockSons festi’Val event to highlight local breweries and food establishments and promote regional products. The festival was launched in 2018 and is dedicated to rock, punk and metal music.
