Culture
The church of Pierrefontaine-les-Varans was registered as a historic monument by decree of 13 June 1991. Its main construction campaign is dated to the last quarter of the 18th century; construction campaigns are recorded for 1782 and 1787.
The Moulin de Vermondans has existed since the 14th century.

Nature
At 947 metres, the Belvédère du Belmont is the highest point in the municipality and offers a view over the valley.
