Bastelica: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Monument to Sampiero Corso in Bastelica was inaugurated on 21 September 1890 and is listed as a historic monument under a prefectural decree dated 8 February 2008. In the Tricolacci district, there is also a bronze bust of Sampiero Corso. The town’s architectural heritage also includes the Canal de l’Ajara, a rural hydraulic engineering structure built in 1875.

The I Pozzi hike offers a panorama of a former glacial lake that has been filled in and now consists of a mosaic-like landscape of meadows and waterholes.

Winter

The Val d’Ese ski resort in the immediate vicinity of Bastelica offers alpine skiing and snow activities every winter. From Bastelica, the resort is easily accessible via the D 27A departmental road. It is located in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica and in Natura 2000 areas.

Local Life

The Bastelica market takes place on summer Sunday mornings in the village square; it is also held on the third Sunday morning in May, June and September. The Bastelica market offers agricultural produce, handicrafts and confectionery.
