Casaglione: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Liamone Beach begins immediately behind the tip of Capigliolo and stretches out on both sides of the mouth of the Liamone River. The area around Liamone Beach is protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral.

Coast

Tiuccia Beach is a small sandy beach in the Gulf of Liscia, with small coves and rocks sloping down into turquoise waters.

The short walking trail to Punta Capigliolu begins on the D81 north of the Gulf of Liscia, shortly after Casaglione's fire station. The trail from Capigliolu offers views of Liamone Beach and the Gulf of Liscia.

History

A small path that rises to the left behind the church leads to the Tremica Dolmen. The Tremica Dolmen is evidence of substantial settlement in the area during the Late Neolithic.

At Monte Lazzu, the Laboratoire Régional d’Archéologie organises guided tours. There is a rock shelter that was used as a burial site and contained metal objects from the Early Iron Age. The ascent trail to Monte Lazzu takes around 30 to 40 minutes and is considered easy to moderate.

The Tour de Capigliolu is a ruined Genoese tower in the municipality of Casaglione on Corsica's west coast.

Culture

The Chapelle Saint-Jean-Baptiste has an elongated floor plan; the nave and choir feature wood panelling. It was probably built in 1934 and remodelled in the second half of the 20th century.

In Tiuccia, the festival in honour of Saint John the Baptist is celebrated every year and includes a Mass and a procession. Scopre offers open-access workshops in the Corsican language, theatre, IT and music in Tiuccia. CIN’ARTE in Tiuccia organises conferences, performances and events that are open to everyone.
