Culture

The earliest traces of the Château de La Bussière date back to the 12th century. The château houses an international fishing museum; the collections on freshwater fishing were established in 1962. Visitors can also view a prehistoric coelacanth up close there.

The history of the Notre-Dame church is also closely linked to the town: it was originally located in the castle courtyard, destroyed in 1567 during the Wars of Religion, and rebuilt at its current location in 1615.
