Santeau: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Culture
The Église Saint-Germain stands on a small hill overlooking Santeau. The church is dedicated to Saint Germain of Auxerre and is still surrounded by its cemetery. Its original construction dates from the 12th or 13th century. The structure includes a tower porch and a single-nave church with a flat-ended chancel.
At the end of the Middle Ages, the Église Saint-Germain was extended on its southern side. A seigneurial chapel was initially built on its southeastern side. This was converted into a sacristy and extended in the 19th century. A restoration campaign began at the Église Saint-Germain in 1984.
Landscape
Santeau lies on the edge of the Forêt d’Orléans and in the Beauce française.
