Culture and History

After suffering fire damage, the nave of the parish church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption in Vrigny was rebuilt in 1870; its pulpit dates from the 17th century and was listed as a historic monument in 1982.

Despite later alterations, the Château de Vrigny has retained the appearance it already had in the 17th century. It is privately owned, surrounded by water-filled moats, and accessible via a drawbridge.

The Maison du Père Mousset is an authentic farmhouse where Père and Mère Mousset lived 150 years ago. It has been transformed into a living museum showcasing traditional forms of housing and everyday life in times gone by. The museum includes reconstructions of a church, a school, and a bistro.

Atelier Cartes et Diem is a studio belonging to a visual artist who focuses on cartographic art.

Nature and Walks

In connection with the Forêt d’Orléans, Vrigny is included in the Natura 2000 network. Vrigny has a ZNIEFF, that is, a natural area of ecological, faunal, and floristic interest. There are opportunities for walks in and around Vrigny.
