Bonny-sur-Loire: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nature

There is a 4.5 km-long trail on the Îles de Bonny, allowing visitors to explore the natural area. Bonny-sur-Loire is also located along the recognised Loire à Vélo cycling route.

Culture and history

The Église Saint-Aignan is classified as a historic monument and combines Romanesque through Renaissance styles. Its oldest parts, including the choir, the right-hand aisle and the bell tower, date from the 12th century. The portal of the southern transept was built in the Renaissance style and dates from 1543.

During the Hundred Years’ War (1337–1453), Bonny-sur-Loire was a fortified position.

The Maison de Pays de Bonny-sur-Loire presents cultural exhibitions year-round in four exhibition rooms covering 160 m². It also showcases a wide selection of local products.

Local offerings

The Fête des vins des coteaux du Giennois takes place on the last Sunday in July.

Knife-making is also one of the local offerings: Owl Blades offers a beginner’s knife-making course. In addition, it is possible to customise a knife model of your choice with the desired design, steel and handle material; an appointment can be arranged for a meeting at the workshop in Bonny-sur-Loire.
