The Loire à Vélo routes are only a few kilometres from Pierrefitte-ès-Bois.
Culture and History
The Eglise Saint-Amâtre church was probably built at the beginning of the 12th century and includes a chapel in the Flamboyant Gothic style. Its tower is 42 metres high, leans by 1.5 metres and was built in the 17th century.
Local Life and Events
Since 2021, the Ferme du Pré de Mély has been selling locally made artisanal products, including flour, oils, biscuits, galettes and honey. Le Pré de Mély offers educational tours by reservation and runs cooking classes for children by reservation.
The traditional Foire aux chieuves takes place in Pierrefitte-ès-Bois on 1 May; snails are tasted at the event.
