In the vicinity of Beaugency, the Les Rives de Beaugency nature site is open to the public via a 4-kilometre discovery trail that crosses the Loire bridge; 1 kilometre of it follows a circular route through the natural area. European beavers have lived at the Rives de Beaugency since the 1980s; common terns and little terns breed on the islands opposite the bridge of Beaugency.

Culture
The Château de Beaugency includes the 13th-century Saint-Georges chapel, numerous 16th-century doors with preserved mouldings by Carvet, reconstructed original stained-glass windows in the listed section, 15th-century roof timbers and a Renaissance façade.
The Church of Saint-Étienne is a Romanesque church dating from the 11th century and is now used as an exhibition venue. The Tour César is a square keep with a current height of approximately 36 metres. It is one of the last surviving examples of Romanesque military architecture. The abbey church of Notre-Dame features Romanesque architecture.
The bridge of Beaugency was built in the 12th century and is more than 400 metres long.
