In Assay, the Étang d'Assay complex includes a 33-hectare pond. An ornithological observatory was established at the Étang d'Assay in 2021. There is also a discovery trail that helps visitors identify species at the pond and in its surroundings.

Culture

The main construction phases of the Château de Baschet date from the 12th, 16th and 18th centuries. It was a fortified manor house surrounded by walls and moats, crossed by a drawbridge. Its 16th-century dovecote is comparatively well preserved and has 1,400 nesting openings distributed across four sections.

The Sentier d'Assay presents Assay's 15th-century Romanesque church. The Société historique Connaissance du pays de Richelieu (SHCPR) has its contact address in Assay and, among other objectives, aims to offer guided tours of historically significant sites in the Pays de Richelieu.
