Moléans: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Conie crosses Moléans. It can be explored via hiking, cycling and canoeing routes; in addition, a canoe route on the waterway is highlighted in Moléans.

Culture and history

Historical sites include the Chapelle Sainte-Barbe in Valainville, in the municipality of Moléans. It is fully registered as a historic monument. Because of its well-documented history, linked to the Abbey of Saint-Denis, and its rarity as a chapel from the second half of the 17th century in the region, it is considered worthy of preservation.

The Château de Moléans is partly registered as a historic monument and partly classified as a historic monument. It is arranged around a terrace overlooking the Conie valley. Tours of the grounds are available at the Château de Moléans.

The Église Saint-Pierre in Moléans was redesigned from 1856 onwards by Ernest de Prunelé. Inside, there is a polychrome wooden statue of Sainte Barbe from the 17th century. At the same time, the Église Saint-Pierre is a cultural venue where concerts are held.

Moléans is also considered the birthplace of Ange Pitou, who became a political singer at the end of the 18th century and worked as a writer and bookseller.

Nature and trails

The Bois de Moléans is noted for roe deer and wild boar, as well as known breeding sites of black woodpeckers and middle spotted woodpeckers. The GR® 35 runs through the Bois de Moléans to the church of Moléans. From the D 110, there is a view of the château and the Conie valley. In addition, Moléans has walking trails.

A watermill and a washhouse are mentioned on the D 145, which crosses the Conie.
